Online Booking
Please note that due to the popularity of our pottery classes (and due to, unfortunately, people booking and not showing up in the past) we have decided to ask for payment upfront. Class payment is non-refundable so please ensure you choose a date you can make on the calendar, where you can see our availabilities. Your booking will not be confirmed until payment is received.
If you cannot make your class, you can send someone you know to use your slot, however, in this scenario please let us know as early possible by contacting us with the details of the person replacing you.
There is a possibility to re-schedule your appointment, however, we only accept requests to re-schedule 14 days before your class. Less than 14 days before the class we will unfortunately charge a fee of £10 per person for any re-scheduling requests. If you contact us 5 days or less before the class we will charge a fee of £15 per person for any re-scheduling requests. If you contact us less than 24 hours before a class, no matter what the reason, we unfortunately cannot re-schedule you and you will lose your booking. Classes can only be re-scheduled once.
We apologise if our re-scheduling rules seem strict but as a not-for-profit studio our budget is tight and if people do not turn up to their classes we cannot afford to pay our teachers – we hope that you understand.
If due to unforeseen circumstances we have to cancel a class we will endeavour to inform our customers as early as possible. In this scenario, re-scheduling will of course be offered free of charge or likewise a full refund can be given. The Potthouse Collective is also not responsible for any expenses (travel or otherwise) that may be lost due to a cancellation.
Classes
If coming for a class please allow plenty of time to arrive, due to our location (which is near Bath Road and is quite busy) the journey may take longer than expected. Please note you will also need to find parking and this may be worth planning ahead/allowing extra time for. Demonstrations are held at the beginning of our classes so if you are late you may not be able to participate (as it is unfair for the other participants to have to sit through a repeated demonstration). Please also note that you should aim to finish 15-20 minutes before the end of your class to allow ample time to clean up; each potter is expected to leave their work area as they found it.
You should wear clothing that is suitable to get messy and sensible shoes (though clay washes out quite easily) we can also provide aprons to borrow for free. We recommend, especially if using the wheel, to remove all jewellery and for long hair to be tied back – this will not only be much safer but will also make it much easier for you to create.
